Salary/Hourly Rate
$115k – $135k
Position Overview
The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Responsibilities Of The Controller
- The Controller will manage all accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- The Controller will prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- The Controller will collaborate with leadership to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
Qualifications For The Controller
- 6+ years of experience.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
